Delete Your Account
How to permanently delete your marit.es account and everything stored under it.
Delete from the app
Steps
Open the Marit.es app (Core or Lite) on your phone, sign in, then go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Confirm on the dialog that appears. That's it — no waiting period, no extra confirmation email.
What happens immediately
Deletion runs the moment you confirm and cannot be undone. It permanently removes:
- Your account record (email, sign-in, subscription reference)
- Your stored Tesla access and refresh tokens (marit.es's authorization to read and command your car)
- Every vehicle linked to your account, and all drive history, charge history, and location/route data tied to those vehicles
This does not touch your Tesla account
Deleting your marit.es account does not revoke marit.es's authorization inside your Tesla account — Tesla keeps that grant on its side until you remove it yourself. If you also want to cut marit.es off from your car, remove the connected app in the Tesla app under Security and Privacy → Security → Third-Party Apps, or at tesla.com/teslaaccount.
What's kept, and for how long
A small number of internal security audit-log entries that reference the account (e.g. sign-in/security events) are retained for up to 90 days after deletion, then automatically purged. They exist for abuse and security investigation, aren't part of the app's normal data (no vehicle, drive or location data), and aren't visible anywhere in the product.
Can't access the app?
Lost your device, can't sign in, or the app is gone
Email us and we'll delete the account for you. Include the Tesla account email you signed up with so we can find the right account, and confirm you want it permanently deleted.
We'll process your request once we've verified it's really you — we don't offer a fixed turnaround time for this, but we act on verified requests. The same deletion scope applies as an in-app delete: account, Tesla tokens, and all linked vehicle, drive, charge and location history. It still won't touch the authorization on your Tesla account — see above.
