Motion or a person detected near the car. Repeated Aware events in a busy area are rate-limited so you're not spammed with pushes.
🚨 Panic
The car's alarm is actually sounding. This always comes through instantly, at the highest notification priority.
How it works
Direct from your car, not a polling loop
While your car is awake it streams live telemetry — battery, location, Sentry state and more — straight to marit.es over Tesla's official Fleet API. A Sentry event is detected from that stream the instant it happens and pushed to you immediately.
One limitation, and it's Tesla's, not ours
A sleeping car streams nothing, so a brief event that starts and ends entirely while asleep can be missed. Every third-party Sentry app has this same limitation — it's how Tesla's telemetry works, not a marit.es bug.
Set up Sentry alerts in 3 steps

Connect your Tesla account. Sign in with Tesla in Core, Lite or the web dashboard — read-only access to start, no virtual key needed just to see alerts.

Make sure Sentry Mode is on. Toggle it from the app's home screen if it isn't already — Core and the web can also schedule it on a weekly timetable.

Choose where alerts land. Push notifications work out of the box on Android. On the web or iPhone, connect @MaritesAppBot on Telegram from Settings — one tap, no Tesla password involved.

No — Sentry Mode itself runs on the car, the same as always. marit.es adds fast, reliable push notifications (and Telegram alerts) on top of it, plus a searchable event log with location, a weekly Sentry schedule, and automatic alarm response (honk, flash, Boombox). Tesla's own app can be slow or miss events; marit.es reads the same live telemetry the car streams and pushes the moment something happens.
How fast are Sentry alerts?
As soon as your car reports an event over its live Fleet Telemetry stream, marit.es sends the push — typically within seconds, no app open required. The one limitation: a sleeping car streams nothing, so a brief event that starts and ends entirely while asleep can be missed. That's a limitation of Tesla's telemetry itself, not specific to marit.es.
Do I need a subscription for Sentry alerts?
No. Sentry ON/OFF control and Sentry push alerts are included in Lite, which is free. Core and the web dashboard add the full event log with location maps, a weekly Sentry schedule, and automatic alarm response.
